Renovating the Rectangle
In this article, I'll give you an example of how to improve the standard rectangular garden bed. As long as you're not confined by a sidewalk or other permanent barrier-you can use this method to create a more natural and interesting bed.
Step 2. Dig out three circles. They should be different sizes. Start with the left and the right ends of the bed - then choose a third point that is off - center from the middle point. Don't overthink it, you can't really make a mistake.
Step 3. Dig out to connect the circles. Try to copy the illustration above, allowing part of the circular shapes to remain intact.
Step 1. The picture above shows the standard rectangular garden bed . Before beginning, you might want to carefully remove any plants that might get in the way. Keep the roots and soil intact so that you can replant them later.
